Jasmine Karis is a freelance Community Textiles Artist.
Firmly rooted in; creativitycommunity, nature, and wellbeing. Her inherent interest in her Jamaican heritage has fuelled her natural affinity for storytelling through the interweaving of language with visual imagery.
As a workshop facilitator, her aims include; using textiles as a means to explore and assist with individual and collective wellbeing by exploring creative self expression in a low-pressure environment free from expectation or judgement. She encourages her participants to show up as their authentic selves with a willingness to learn, connect and explore through; creative play, experimentation and stimulating conversation.
